Around 2001 you couldn't go anywhere in SF without seeing a DAVE sticker. I was given these stickers, by the curator, at one of his art shows. I never actually met DAVE, his appearance is still a mystery to me. As rudimentary as his drawings were, you had to give it up to him for his ability to take DAVE all-city. Regardless whether or not you like his art, he made a name for himself in the late 90's / early 2000's golden era of the Bay Area street art scene. Kudos Dave!
