This is a classic west coast rap album from the beginning of the gangsta rap era. Executive produced by the legendary Eazy E and studio production by the equally legendary Dr. Dre. The D.O.C. was supposed to be rap's next big MC at the time of his first release. But, shortly after he was in a devastating car crash, which crushed his larynx, changing his voice forever. He released two more albums after this, but with his voice not being what it once was, they didn't reach the heights of his iconic first release.
