SUPER RARE piece of heavyweight boxing memorabilia.
- Caesar's Palace Snapback Hat -
November 8th, 1991 - Heavyweight Championship Fight
Evander Holyfield v. Mike Tyson
Alone this hat is an amazing piece of boxing history. However, this particular fight was very special...because it never happened. The fight was scheduled, then due to Tyson's legal troubles and extended stay vacation in federal prison, the fight was rescheduled. In preparation for the fight Caesar's Palace had produced the usual memorabilia and souvenirs for attendees. I've heard of other pieces of memorabilia that made it out of CP and into private collections. Most of those pieces were press kits, which were given out weeks before the fight. I've only seen one other piece that was intended for sale at the event. Apparently, a few pieces of dated souvenir memorabilia found their way out. This is truly a unique piece of sport's history. An amazing conversation piece and a must-have for boxing / Tyson fans...WOW...this hat is so unbelievably RARE I'm having trouble posting this up for sale knowing it will undoubtedly be leaving my own personal collection. What a find we have here!
Condition: Pre-owned, but in excellent condition. Plastic on snap-back is in perfect shape and in tact. Caesar's Palace tag is sewn into the inside of the hat. No major discoloration, stains, rips, holes, etc. It's in great shape...a true find for the next lucky buyer...you're welcome!
